Why am I doing this?

Hello y'all! My name is Jakson McDaniel (as you might have guessed by now) and at the moment I am a senior at New York University Steinhardt studying Vocal Performance (opera concentration). I have been incredibly blessed by the Lord to have been put in the world of music hopefully in the future he will have me in a church music role or with a professional choir singing praises to him. 

When I'm not locked up in a practice room I love getting outside and seeing the wonderful world that has been given to us. I love getting out to mountain bike and hike, specifically scaling 14ers with my family. Being a Coloradan I'm also a big Avalanche fan, no matter how times they fall just short of getting the cup.

I cannot wait to go on the World Race and be a part of the effort to expand and share the kingdom with those who haven't heard the great news! I have been praying and praying for the Lord to guide me where he wants me in life and now I can see that this next year will hold the blessing of being able to serve others. I know that 11 months isn't going to be easy but thanks to scripture I know that "I can do all things through him who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).
