I simply can’t believe that it is already August and that what has been the most eventful summer of my life to date is about to end and in not too long I’ll be leaving for the east coast. Lately, with housing instability and fundraising worries, there has been a lot of spiritual warfare and it has felt like I’m having a hard time resting and abiding in the good Lord above. It’s felt spiritually like I’m trying to run after Him and someone’s thrown a sheet over my head, so I look like a ghost on Halloween. But He is good and that has been turned around and the sheet lifted with presentation for a group at my church.

After saying my spiel about the World Race and even going so far as to say that in my materialism, I’m a little scared to leave it all behind to live out of backpack. The kind women who had been listening then insisted on praying over me and they anointed my head, hands, and feet and then prayed whilst laying hands upon me. They prayed for the Lord to provide in my need, that I can go out on this mission in His name and through a woman who had been speaking in tongues, spoke the Holy Spirit. The Lord reassured me that He has always been before and with me, He is, and continues to be. He hears my needs and though the enemy will seek to stop and mislead myself and others, He is with us and He knows my financial need for the World Race and will provide and guide me through His perfect plan.

I do need to be reminded that I am so shortsighted. I am impatient and act so quickly, that I can have things in my time. My timing is harrible. He works all things for our good and His glory and I’m so thankful for the reminder that Tuesday morning that He is actively working for me and has died on that cross for me which is ultimately what is most important. He is a God that changes lives and I know He’ll see me in going out and sharing how He changed mine.

  1. Jackson,

This is so so so good! What a picture of how God moves (in my experience, especially in times of unknowns). And what a picture of the body of Christ how you were surrounded by those you went to share with. God uses each of us to bless and encourage one another. I’m so glad you were able to experience that! Looking forward to meeting you soon brother!
